FAQ
Why is the PNG bigger?
JPEG is lossy and compact for photos. PNG stores pixels losslessly, so size often increases.
Does this improve quality?
No. Converting JPEG→PNG does not restore detail already discarded by JPEG compression.
EXIF kept?
Canvas re-encoding drops EXIF. That is usually what you want for sharing.
Animated JPEG?
Not supported. Use a proper video or GIF tool for motion.
