HEIC to JPG

Convert Apple HEIC / HEIF photos to JPEG in your browser. Useful when a site or Windows app will not open .heic files.

Uses the heic2any library loaded from a CDN. Needs network once to fetch the script; your image still never leaves the device.

  1. Drop a .heic or .heif photo (or click to browse).
  2. Wait for the preview — adjust JPEG quality if you want a smaller file.
  3. Download the .jpg. Nothing was uploaded.

FAQ

Does my photo get uploaded?

No. Decoding runs in this browser tab. Staypic has no image upload API.

Why does HEIC need an extra library?

Most browsers cannot decode HEIC natively. We load heic2any from a public CDN to decode in WebAssembly/JS. If the CDN is blocked, this tool cannot run.

Will live photos / bursts work?

Only the still image is converted. Multi-frame or special HEIC containers may fail — try exporting JPEG from Photos first.

iPhone photos look rotated wrong?

Orientation is usually baked in during conversion. If a file looks sideways, re-export from the Photos app and try again.

Is this free?

Yes. The tools are free to use. Conversion stays on your device.
